Wahl-Coates Explorers is an after-school 4-H Science Club
comprised of 3rd, 4th and 5th graders at Wahl-Coates Elementary School. SciNewsWahl-Coates Explorers will not be meeting for the 2013-2014 school year. We are taking a hiatus but we will be posting science related news on the News page above. We would like to thank all of the Explorers, their parents and the administration at Wahl-Coates for two wonderful years of science exploration. We had a ball!
Congratulations to the Explorers for their 1st place finish in the Science category at the 21st Annual Eastern Carolina Unnatural Resources Fair competition this past week for a recycled sculpture they created using materials that were destined for a recycle bin or trash can. The Unnatural Resources Institute hosts the annual fair and competition to inspire people to look at objects in a different light and to recycle. Click here to see more. Explorers were presented with the Stormwater Management Education grant from the City of Greenville Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC) on Thursday, June 7th. Read more about it here. |
